The Town of Ajax continues to actively advance sustainability and climate action through a comprehensive set of policies, programs, and community initiatives.

The Town has declared a climate emergency and adopted ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets to guide our response to climate impacts and help strengthen community resilience.

Beyond policy, Ajax supports on‑the‑ground initiatives such as tree planting, waste diversion, green building upgrades, and community engagement programs that encourage residents to participate in creating a more sustainable, climate‑ready future.
